oh my god i saw this and was terrified for a moment because i didn’t see sherlock there, and it took me ages to realise he was actually there but frozen and darkened. but then i started thinking about what this scene would be like if sherlock wasn’t in it, after reichenbach, and john still dines there alone at their table and angelo doesn’t talk so much any more since sherlock died but he knows how much it affects john, so he tries his hardest and will always serve him personally and bring him that candle so john has at least one little something of sherlock there with him, because angelo remembers that first day sherlock brought john there, he remembers all the times after and he knows how hard it’s going to be for john to sit there alone every night he comes in
